Jason Bowles, a driver from Ontario, on Saturday won the NASCAR Camping World Series West race at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif., for the second year in a row. Pole winner Patrick Long of Thousand Oaks was penalized for rough driving when he spun out leader Joey Logano late in the race.

Daniel Herrington, a driver for Valencia’s Bryan Herta and his Bryan Herta Autosport team, was ninth in the Firestone Indy Lights race at Iowa Speedway on Saturday night. Herrington ran as high as second and was challenging for the lead when he made contact with a lapped car and had to fall back.
