Ben Howland lends some perspective on UCLA freshman Jrue Holiday

You can expect to see Jrue Holiday in UCLA’s starting lineup tonight against Stanford, and he’ll probably be on the court to start the second half too.

But the Bruins’ last game, a home loss to Washington State, was no holiday for the young freshman. He was watching from the bench to start the second half, as fellow newcomer Malcolm Lee was having a much better day defensively.

Coach Ben Howland discussed how Holiday has been doing compared with some of the other diaper dandies -- and late bloomers -- he’s seen in his program the last few years:
