After Clippers beat Celtics, Pruitt arrested on suspicion of DUI
No good can come from playing for the Clippers.
Apparently, no good can come from playing against them, either.
Boston came to town and was shocked last night, 93-91. It should have been a nice homecoming for guard Gabe Pruitt, who was a star locally at Westchester High and USC. But a few hours after the Celtics were clipped, Pruitt was popped.
The Boston backup was arrested about 3 a.m. in Hollywood on suspicion of driving under the influence. L.A. Now reports that the incident occurred at Sunset Boulevard and Wilcox Avenue, a few blocks from the LAPD's Hollywood station.
Pruitt was charged with a misdemeanor and released about 8:30 a.m. Probably wasn't too hard coming up with the $5,000 bail -- he was driving a Mercedes S550 and his 2009 salary is listed at $711,517.
