Just hours after Mark Sanchez said that he was heading to the NFL, four Trojans who are expected to compete for the starting quarterback job took to the USC practice field for an informal workout. The Times’ Gary Klein reports that the Thursday afternoon workout included Mitch Mustain, Aaron Corp and Garrett Green and newcomer Matt Barkley.

Here’s what USC Coach Pete Carroll told Klein about change: ‘We’ve only really had good experiences with these kinds of transitions. So that’s all we know. And hopefully we’ll prove that again.’
