Lance Armstrong has arrived in Adelaide, Australia, where he plans to kick off his comeback tour at the Tour Down Under. That race is akin to a spoke-wheel, with riders taking trips out of Adelaide every day and seeing some of the South Australia countryside before heading back into Adelaide.

This will be the first public test of Armstrong’s fitness and his standing in the peloton as he embarks on a schedule that will include next months’ Amgen Tour of California, the Giro d’Italia in May and, finally, what Armstrong hopes will be a competitive attempt at an eighth Tour de France win in July.
