The crowd gathered around Lamar Odom, seeking his opinion on Andrew Bynum’s career night and on his best offensive game of the season.

Bynum dropped a career-best 42 points on 17-for-24 shooting on the Clippers. He also had 15 rebounds and three blocked shots.

‘He worked with Kareem today,’’ Odom said. ‘Kareem was goood.’’

Odom rolled his eyes at the media and laughed. Indeed, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the NBA’s all-time leading scorer. He is a special assistant coach with the Lakers, mostly working with Bynum.

As for Odom, he was pretty good Wednesday night against the Clippers.

He scored a season-high 19 points. He was eight-for-11 from the field and had nine rebounds and three blocked shots.

Odom even had one play that left a lasting impression. He grabbed an offensive rebound, dunked with his left hand and hung on the rim and grabbed his crotch with his right hand.

‘It kind of just like came out,’’ Odom said. ‘I’m in pretty good shape. I guess my knee is OK.’’
