Chone Figgins’ new deal with the Angels includes incentives

Chone Figgins’ one-year, $5.775-million contract with the Angels includes $525,000 in incentives. He can earn $50,000 for making the All-Star team; $75,000 each for being named World Series MVP, League Championship Series MVP, a Gold Glove or Silver Slugger winner; and $150,000 for being named regular-season MVP.

Former Angels top prospect Dallas McPherson avoided arbitration today, settling for a one-year, $500,000 contract with the Florida Marlins.
