When Clippers Coach Mike Dunleavy first heard Marcus Camby say his knee was injured in the fourth quarter, Dunleavy responded: ‘That’s just kind of the way the season is going.’

But it turned out Camby had a sprained left ankle that the Clippers don’t believe is serious. He got an X-ray that was negative Saturday night after the Clippers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks. He wil be listed as day-to-day.

Once Dunleavy got the good news that Camby had a sprained left ankle and not torn knee ligaments, he felt much better.

The Clippers already were without Baron Davis (bruised tailbone), Zach Randolph (sore left knee), Chris Kaman (strained left arch), Mike Taylor (fractured right thumb) and Jason Hart (sore right elbow).

‘You know, maybe we caught a break there,’’ Dunleavy said about Camby’s injury. ‘Maybe that’s the turning point for us. That’s a good break.’’
