So now that the Pro Bowl rosters for the NFC and AFC are out, were there major snubs? SI.com says yes, there were indeed snubs. They give us 12 to consider.

Two of those 12 seem to stand out among the forgotten: Chad Pennington, the unlikely hero quarterback for the resurgent Miami Dolphins (who knew they would be so good?) and Matt Forte, the Bears rookie running back. If the Bears had a real pro quarterback, wouldn’t they be something to watch? And if more people had watched, Forte might have made the Pro Bowl.

Who would you pick as the biggest snub? Fullback Madison Hedgecock of the Giants? You gotta feel for the guy, given that six of his teammates made it even though many say Hedgecock is the big reason why that offense has worked so well.

Does Brett Favre deserve to be going to the Pro Bowl over Chad Pennington? The division-rivals Jets and Dolphins have the same 9-5 record. But Pennington has a better passer rating (95.1 to Favre’s 86.5), fewer interceptions (6 to Favre’s 17, yes, 17) and more passing yards (3,218 vs. Favre’s 3,052). The two are just about even on completion percentage, but Favre has more TD passes (21 to Pennington’s 14).
