The Ducks didn’t have a goal after one period Sunday, but they certainly had some punch.

The Ducks’ George Parros won a clear decision in a fight with Columbus’ Jared Boll, with a combination of punches that would have made him a better opponent for Manny Pacquiao than Oscar De La Hoya was Saturday. By the time Parros was done with uppercuts and overhand leads, Boll was ready to say, ‘No mas!’

It was the highlight of a brisk first period for the Ducks’ fourth line of Parros, Ryan Carter and Bobby Ryan, who has been demoted from the top line. That group created opportunities with fierce forechecks.

Ryan, who had been skating with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry, spent most of Wednesday’s game on the bench while the Ducks were caving to the Chicago Blackhawks in a 4-2 loss.
