Former NBA coach Eric Musselman joins the chorus who say the Lakers could win the NBA title this season.

He gives five reasons to support his opinion in his first column for Pro Basketball News.com.

When games are close at the end, he points out one play in particular you are likely to see from the Lakers.

‘Down the stretch L.A.’s ‘go to’ play is ‘52’ -- where the Lakers run a wing pick-n-roll with Bryant handling and Gasol setting the pick. Bynum is typically the duck-in man, along with two spot-up shooters. Near the end of games, this is a good recipe for success.’’

Of course, if Musselman knows the play, then so does everyone else. The trick is to stop it.
