It’s 11:30 a.m. in Philadelphia, and the weather is brutal. The forecast calls for rain throughout the day, with wind so stiff that the windchill factor would be 29 degrees at the proposed 8 p.m. (ET) game time. The National Weather Service issued a severe weather alert at 11:15 a.m, even warning about the possibility of snow flurries on the outskirts of town.

Wednesday night’s forecast calls for clearing skies and cold temperatures.
