Reports: Mixed martial arts’ Elite XC has folded

Internet reports claim the embattled mixed martial arts organization Elite XC is finished.

The organization anchored by recently defeated heavyweight and former street fighter Kimbo Slice and popular female fighter Gina Carano has reportedly canceled its Nov. 8 show in Reno, Nev., and executives have said the struggling Los Angeles-based parent business Pro Elite, which suffered estimated losses of more than $50 million in the last two years, has already prepared bankruptcy filings.
