Fans will apparently have to wait to see Baron Davis’ local Clippers debut.

Davis suffered a sprained left ring finger in practice today and was scheduled to have it examined later in the afternoon. He played in the Clippers’ first preseason game more than a week ago in Fresno against the Lakers and missed the last two because of flu-like symptoms.

Marcus Camby (bruised heel) also did not practice and won’t play in Saturday’s game against Toronto, nor will Tim Thomas (strained groin). It appears as though Al Thornton, who sat out Thursday because of a sore right wrist, will return to action. Stay tuned.
