We have the HDTV here, not huge, but 42 inches.

So why do I have to squint, tilt my head, then get up and walk up close to the television to see the score on the TNT broadcast of the Celtics-Cavaliers game?

I think the score is 90-85 in favor of Boston and I think there are 4.3 seconds left but I’m kind of guessing. Yep, that’s it, and now it’s a final score. But I don’t want to squint.

As bad as the score display from Boston was, it just got worse. TNT has switched to the Lakers-Portland game now under way at Staples Center and there is no score evident on the screen.

No, wait, it’s there. But the display is even smaller than on the Celtics game. And in a totally different place. In different colors. Confusing.
