NBC has picked up the Anne Heche-led comedy ‘Save Me’ for a 13-episode order, Show Tracker confirmed Monday.

Heche stars as a woman who has ducked out on herself and her marriage -- that is, until a spiritual awakening has her acting differently (think ‘Enlightened’ for the broadcast network crowd). It marks the second new series pick-up for next season -- the network recently announced it was adding the ‘Matthew Perry’ comedy ‘Go On’ to its lineup.

NBC is said to be eyeing an August launch for the show, from Sony Pictures TV and Neal Moritz’s studio-based Original Films, after the Summer Olympics. More pickup announcements are expected soon as NBC presents to advertisers next week in New York.
