Sarah Palin won’t be happy with HBO’s ‘Game Change’ movie

Sarah Palin’s still a star, but is she as big a star today as she was four years ago?
The former Alaska governor continues to pop up in the media from time to time to weigh in on the 2012 GOP presidential primary, but all that it takes is one look at the full trailer for HBO’s upcoming movie ‘Game Change’ to remember just how white-hot her celebrity was during the last presidential election cycle.
Of course, as the trailer makes clear, this film is no puff piece. Julianne Moore plays Palin as a woman desperate to do whatever it takes to rise above the relative anonymity of life in Alaska. And poor John McCain (played by Ed Harris) is left wondering what exactly he’s gotten himself into.
Tina Fey did a popular impression of Palin on ‘Saturday Night Live,’ but Moore’s version of Palin looks like it could be even more devastating because of its realism. This is no sketch.
Palin, as depicted in the film, has breakdowns, throws tantrums and generally appears to be as unstable as her biggest critics have always feared.
As for the rest of the cast, Harris looks spot-on as McCain, with Woody Harrelson as McCain’s senior campaign strategist, Steve Schmidt.
The film, directed by Jay Roach, who gave his take on the 2000 election with the film ‘Recount,’ premieres on HBO on March 10.
