CBS 2 and KCAL 9 launch weekend morning newscasts

CBS 2 (formerly known as KCBS) and sister station KCAL Channel 9 are launching weekend morning newscasts starting Saturday.

On Saturdays, CBS 2 will broadcast a one-hour newscast starting at 7 a.m., followed by a two-hour newscast starting at 8 a.m. on KCAL 9.

On Sundays, CBS 2 will have a one-hour newscast starting at 6 a.m. KCAL 9 will air a two-hour newscast starting at 7 a.m.

All the newscasts will be anchored by reporter Serene Branson and reporter-weathercaster Kaj Goldberg.
