Up All Night:
When Reagan’s parents (Blythe Danner and Richard Schiff) come to visit, she tries to set a good example for Amy by getting along with them (8 p.m. NBC).

The X Factor:
The finalists perform in this two-hour episode (8 p.m. Fox).

Criminal Minds:
The team heads to the Angeles National Forest when dead bodies start turning up in mountain lakes. Joe Mantegna stars in this new episode (9 p.m. CBS).

Nova:
Physicist Brian Greene hosts “The Fabric of the Cosmos,” a new four-part exploration of the frontiers of physics to see how scientists are piecing together the most complete picture yet of space, time and the universe (9 p.m. KOCE).

Top Chef Texas:
The new season of the cooking competition show premieres in the Lone Star State with a record 29 chefs battling it out to wear the “Top Chef” coat. Guest stars this season include Charlize Theron, Pee-wee Herman, Cat Cora, Tim Love and Patti LaBelle. Padma Lakshmi hosts with judges Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons, Emeril Lagasse and Hugh Acheson (10 p.m. Bravo).

South Park:
The entire school suffers for Cartman’s weight problem in this new episode (10 p.m. Comedy Central).

Psych:
Shawn and Gus (James Roday, Dule Hill) try to track down a masked vigilante (Joey McIntyre) who’s on a mission to take down a drug syndicate in this new episode (10 p.m. USA).
