Sarah Michelle Gellar is returning to her former Pine Valley stomping grounds on ‘All My Children.’

Gellar confirmed she’ll be returning during a panel for her new CW series ‘Ringer’ at the Television Critics Assn. media tour in Beverly Hills. The ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ royalty played Erica Kane’s daughter, Kendall Hart Lang, on the long-running ABC soap in the ‘90s. But Gellar won’t be reprising her role when she revisits the series.

‘I don’t want to play Kendall, that’s Alicia’s role,’ she said, referring to Alicia Minshew, who now plays the part.

She said she has ‘no idea’ what the producers will have her do on the series, and added that she believes the show’s cancellation on ABC doesn’t ‘make any sense.’

‘All My Children’ will end its run in September, though it’s been granted some sort of extension on the Internet.
