Mamma Mia! 'Jersey Shore' Italy edition scores record ratings

What a "Situation!"

The fourth season premiere of MTV's "Jersey Shore," in which the New Jersey housemates invade Italy, scored record ratings, attracting a total of 8.8 million viewers.

The episode, which featured the usual explosive chemistry among Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and the other cast members marked a 4% increase over the Season 3 premiere of the popular reality series.

Also, the return of "Jersey Shore" delivered the largest audience ever for an MTV series for a season premiere, and marks the third highest rated MTV broadcast of all time, behind two Season 3 installments of "Jersey Shore."
