The endless stream of shows about the noisy and raucous Kashdashians continues Sunday with the premiere of E! Entertainment’s ‘Khloe & Lamar,’ which focuses on Khloe Kardashian and her husband, Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom.

In the premiere episode, the groundwork for stories to be explored during the run of the show are established, including newlywed struggles, Odom’s strained relationship with his father, who is addicted to heroin, and Khloe’s attempts to get along with some of Odom’s friends.

But one offbeat incident concerns Khloe’s younger brother Rob, an aspiring model who has been a minor supporting player in ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ and spinoffs featuring former sex-tape queen turned scenester Kim Kardashian and her sisters.

Apparently only because he is related to Kim Kardashian, Rob is invited to join the celebrity team at the NBA’s All-Star game, which was held in February, playing with stars such as Justin Bieber, Trey Songz, Jason Sudeikis (‘Saturday Night Live’), former Laker and actor Rick Fox and others with legitimate celeb cred and who have accomplished more than just popping in and out of reality shows.

Adding to the irony is that Odom is passed over as an NBA All-Star, a sore point with the Lakers player who has had an impressive season. The possibility that Odom’s association with the Kardashians may have hurt his chances to win votes from the fans that would have qualified him for the team is never explored.

The questions that are explored: Will Rob show sympathy for his brother-in-law or be self-centered about his All-Star opportunity? Will Odom overcome his hurt and support Rob? Will Kim tweet about the slight?

Will you watch?

Perhaps Rob Kardashian, who lives with Khloe & Lamar, will overcome his hanger-on status and become a legitimate celebrity with the help of the new show.

What do you think his chances are? Will there ever be a ‘Keeping Up With Rob Kardashian’?
