Splendor in the Grass: Pulitzer Prize-winning writer William Inge wrote this 1961 drama starring Natalie Wood as a nice girl driven insane by thwarted love and sexual repression in 1920s Kansas. Warren Beatty, Pat Hingle, Jan Norris and Sandy Dennis also star (5 p.m. TCM).

Ferocious Planet: A machine designed to let people see into alternate universes transports a group of observers into one of those universes. John Rhys-Davies and Joe Flanigan star in this new sci-fi chiller (9 p.m. Syfy).
