It’s the reality show that keeps on giving. MTV announced Wednesday that the long-running “Real World” series was picked up for two more seasons.

If you’re keeping count, that’s seasons 27 and 28!

When we interviewed co-creator Jonathan Murray last month about the launch of its current season, he admitted to being shocked by its longevity.

“I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t surprised it’s still around,” he said. “It’s come of age just like the people that have appeared on it.”

The franchise has crossed the nation -- visiting locations such as Hollywood, Austin and Chicago -- and the globe.

The current season, “Real World: Las Vegas,” airs Wednesday nights. Last week’s episode averaged 2.2 million viewers, according to the network. The network is currently casting the 26th season.

Show Trackers, does this news thrill you? Or has the franchise overstayed its welcome in reality land? What cities would you like the show to visit next?
