The latest chapter in the seemingly never-ending Charlie Sheen saga involves an estranged wife and a restraining order.

Brooke Mueller obtained a temporary restraining order Tuesday against the actor, according to law enforcement sources.

[Updated at 1 p.m.: Among Mueller’s allegations about Sheen:
-- He threatened to kill her repeatedly, including Sunday night, when he told her, “I will cut your head off, put it in a box and send it to your mom!”
-- Called his manager, Mark Berg, a “stoopid jew pig” and talked about killing him.
-- Told airplane passengers during a recent trip to the Bahamas that he hated actress Denise Richards, his former wife, and was going to have her head shaved.
-- Told her during a rant in the Bahamas, “I’m untouchable! I’m Charlie Sheen! I’m more famous than Obama!”

The pair separated after a domestic violence incident in Aspen in 2009, but Mueller and their children moved back into the actor’s home a few months ago, a decision Mueller described as “a big mistake” in her declaration.]

As part of the move, a representative for Mueller took the couple’s children from Sheen’s home Tuesday night.

The star of “Two and a Half Men,” which is on hold for the rest of the season, took to his new Twitter account to air his thoughts: “My sons’ are fine … My path is now clear … Defeat is not an option ..!”

During an interview with the ‘Today” show on Wednesday, the actor said he didn’t know the whereabouts of his children. Addressing Mueller during the interview, he said: “Tell me where my sons are.”

Later in his media tour, Sheen told KTLA-TV Channel 5 that though he was aware of the court order, he didn’t realize it would mean his children would be taken away. ‘I was told that a restraining order was being delivered, and I thought, ‘OK, I can deal with that,’ and then it was revealed that it was something much more serious,’ Sheen said.
