SoCal Connected: Val Zavala wraps up local and national elections (9 p.m. KCET).

MythBusters: In an episode titled “Arrow Machine Gun,” Adam and Jamie embark on an archery odyssey (9 p.m. Discovery).

Circus: Step right up as this six-episode documentary miniseries (airing over three weeks) opens with “First of May,” in which 150 performers and crew members of the Big Apple Circus assemble in Walden, N.Y., to begin putting together their new tour (9:30 p.m. KCET).

Top Chef: Just Desserts: The remaining pastry chefs must create entertaining and unique desserts for Food & Wine magazine’s Celebritea Party (10 p.m. Bravo).

South Park: Now led by Mysterion, Coon and Friends — without the Coon — are working together to help the people in the Gulf, but the Coon, scorned by his fellow superheroes, is out for revenge in this new episode of the animated comedy (10 p.m. Comedy Central).

Marijuana: A Chronic History: This new special reveals the history of the controlled substance and attempts to explain its role in the war on drugs (9 p.m. History).

Footloose: Kevin Bacon stars as a rebellious teenager with a passion for dancing who moves from Chicago to a small town where dancing is prohibited. Lori Singer, John Lithgow and Dianne Wiest also star in this 1984 hit (8 p.m. Cinemax).
