The end of the road has come for ‘Rubicon.’

AMC announced Thursday that it will not move forward with the consipracy thriller starring James Badge Dale, leaving plenty of unanswered questions for the drama’s small audience.

The cancellation comes as no surprise. The ambitious series never gained traction with the AMC audience, despite its cushy time slot before ‘Mad Men.’

‘ ‘Rubicon’ gave us an opportunity to tell a rich and compelling story, and we’re proud of the series,’ the network said in a statement. This was not an easy decision, but we are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such a phenomenally talented and dedicated team.’
