‘Jersey Shore’s’ Snooki is hitting the books

Snookin’ for love is no easy task -- and now fans of a certain ‘Jersey Shore’ pint-size ‘guidette’ can read all about it.
As our sister blog Jacket Copy reported, Simon & Schuster’s Gallery Books imprint announced Wednesday that it will publish a novel by Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi, tentatively titled ‘A Shore Thing.’
According to a news release, the book -- slated for a January release (in time to be Oprah’s last book club selection?) -- will gyrate around ‘a girl looking for love on the boardwalk (one full of big hair, dark tans, and fights galore).’ What … no mention of Fossil watches? Guess that’s just an Angelina thing. We at Show Tracker can only hope this modern-day fairytale includes a princely gorilla juicehead.
‘I’m pumped to announce to my fans a project that I’ve been working on for some time,’ Polizzi said in a statement. ‘This book will have you falling in love at the shore.’ [Updated at 11:05 p.m.: An earlier version of this post misspelled Snooki’s last name.]
Earlier this summer, the gal with an affinity for pickles revealed there were plans for a ‘Snooktionary’ to enhance the vocabulary of people everywhere.
Two books? Quite the achievement for the self-admittedly semi-illiterate woman.
And, hey, we witnessed her speedy typing skills earlier this season when it came time to write the infamous letter to Sammi -- so she’s bound to get something together quickly (...sure). Let’s just hope phrases such as ‘put his head between a cocktail waitresses breasts’ aren’t part of this tale.
