It’s Britney, Gleeks.

With the anticipation for Season 2 building as fall approaches -- OK, let’s face it, the anticipation hasn’t changed -- one of the second season’s most coveted episodes is the tribute to pop princess Britney Spears.

Last season, Gleeks went into a tizzy over Madonna and Lady Gaga episodes, both of which didn’t feature their subject matter in the flesh. But that’s not the case here, as Spears herself will be a part of the episode titled “Britney, Britney, Britney,” and she even teased her fans with a pic of herself on set Wednesday afternoon.

“what’s up GLEEKS? Having so much fun on set!! Can’t wait for you guys to see the episode! -Britney,” she tweeted Wednesday from set.

Show creator Ryan Murphy said the ladies of McKinley High will indulge in some dreamy fantasies of how they can be like the pop princess, thanks to some anesthesia from the dentist’s office, as you know John Stamos has joined the guest-star ranks as said dentist.

It won’t be the sole tribute episode next season. Murphy & Co. is in negotiations with a “big” pop artist for the episode in the highly coveted post-Super Bowl slot.

As for the music? Your (welcomed) guess is as good as ours. But just in case Murphy is reading this, here are some suggestions from the Songbook of Spears:

“Toxic”: An obvious must-have, considering the dentist subplot -- and, hey, even Emma can get in on the action!

“...Baby One More Time”: A classic single for Spears that has to be included in a tribute. Maybe a group number?

“Oops!... I Did It Again”: I actually want to see Quinn sing again and wanted to pair her with a fun, upbeat track from Spears’ catalog, so that means no “Sometimes.”

“Womanizer”: Rachel, Santana and Mercedes can put Puck and Finn in their woman-juggling places with Spears’ fierce comeback single.

“Lucky” or “Stronger”: Either of these Rachel-approved tracks make for the essential solo from our favorite diva; another duet with Kurt only sweetens the deal.

“My Prerogative”: OK, I know it’s not her song, but the boys will need a group number, and I thought they’d settle for the Bobby Brown remake for its masculinity -- and, well, sex appeal. Although I do have a mash-up of “Boys” and “I’m a Slave 4 U” on the backburner ready to go, just in case.

“Piece of Me”: The perfect pop kiss-off for Sue to sink her teeth into!

Bonus points if my all-time favorite Spears’ track “Don’t Let Me Be the Last to Know” makes it, but I’ll settle for “Gimme More” -- Schue has to sing something, right?

What do you guys think of my suggestions? What tracks would you pick for an all-Britney episode?
