Gleeks, you’ve had your turn. Now it’s time for Jim Parsons to geek out. And that means calling it a night before midnight ... even with an Emmy win for lead actor in a comedy series

“I am the lamest old man [kind of] tired,” he said backstage. “I think this gives me enough energy to make it to 10:30 or 11 tonight.”

Maybe that’s because he’s already entering the REM stage of sleep with his win for his role as Sheldon in CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory.”

“This feels absolutely dream-like,” he said. “I mean that in the most literal sense of the word … I keep waiting for somebody to wake me up.”

Let’s hope that happens before the show moves to its new Thursday slot on Sept. 23.

“Thursday night for comedy was something I was weaned on growing up ... we have such a loyal fanbase. I think they’ll be happy to watch it, hopefully, wherever it is.”
