The team hunts a serial killer (Tim Curry) in Los Angeles who targets families in the season finale “Criminal Minds” at 9 p.m. on CBS.

Repossessed! In this new episode Larry sets up a sting operation to intercept a hearse after being tipped off by an obituary (7 and 10 p.m. National Geographic).

American Idol: The Top 12 finalists reunite before the Season 9 winner is revealed in the two-hour season finale (8 p.m. Fox).

Ground War: A new episode chronicles the evolution of military artillery (9 p.m. KCET). A second new episode at 10 traces the development of battlefield engineering for defense and attack.

CSI: NY: Mac and Stella (Gary Sinise, Melina Kanakaredes) realize that a serial killer (Edward Furlong) is targeting the vacationing Danny and Lindsay (Carmine Giovinazzo, Anna Belknap) in the sixth season finale (10 p.m. CBS).

Top Chef Masters: Chefs are charged with creating a “simply divine” dish inspired by one of the Greek gods in this new episode (10 p.m. Bravo).

Cellblock 6: Female Lock Up: Women cope with incarceration in Gwinnett County Jail in this new series (10 p.m. TLC).

From Here to Eternity: Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr steal the show with their memorable scene on a Hawaiian beach in this 1953 epic of men and women at Pearl Harbor before and during the attack. Montgomery Clift, Frank Sinatra, Donna Reed and Ernest Borgnine also star (5 p.m. TCM).

Sex and the City: Four years after the end of the HBO series, columnist Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and close friends Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte (Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis) share new passages in their lives in this 2008 hit (8:30 p.m. HBO).
