Oprah Winfrey is announcing today that she plans to host an evening show on her new cable network. ‘Oprah’s Next Chapter,’ an hourlong program, will probably debut on The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) late next year, according to the Wall Street Journal.

But the time of day won’t be the only change. The Queen of Talk won’t be sitting on a couch for this one. She will travel the globe.

‘I’m going to take viewers with me, going to take celebrities I want to interview with me,’ Winfrey told the Journal in an interview.

‘Oprah’s Next Chapter’ is one of many programs that OWN will announce in a presentation to advertisers in New York City today. The network is a 50-50 joint venture between Winfrey’s Harpo Inc. and Discovery Communications Inc, and is set to launch Jan. 1.
