'Lost' cast ponders the ending of the ABC series

April 21, 2010 |  7:47 am

When The Times visited the Island for the final season premiere, "Lost" was in production on last night's episode, "The Last Recruit."

So, just as"Lost" viewers still have no idea how it will all end, neither did the actors at the time. In interviews that weekend, we asked members of the cast to tell us how they thought the show should end and what the island was or stood for.

Here are some of their thoughts and wishes for the ending of the ABC hit.

By the way, ABC President of Entertainment Steve McPherson told The Times at the Jan. 31 premiere party that he also didn't know how the "Lost" writers would wrap it up. He said he'd only seen an outline for the season and had deliberately stayed away from scripts, wanting to be surprised.
