The second seasons of ‘Nurse Jackie’ and ‘United States of Tara’ are barely underway, but already Showtime has announced they both will be back for third seasons.

‘Nurse Jackie’ stars Edie Falco as an excellent healthcare worker who has a terriffic husband and two daughters. But her back pain has led her to a prescription meds addiction and an affair with the pharmacist who supplies them.

‘United States of Tara’ stars Toni Collette as a wife and mother who suffers from dissociative identity disorder, which means at any moment she can turn into a crazy teenager, a crazy war vet, a perfect ‘50s housewife and, most recently, a strange creature that pees on people when they sleep.

Falco was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role this year. Collette won an Emmy last year and a Golden Globe this year for her role.
