Betty White will be very busy in May

March 12, 2010 |  9:52 am

Getprev-1 Betty White is a hot, hot property these days.

Not only will she be hosting "Saturday Night Live" on May 8, thanks to a Facebook groundswell, of all things. Now she's going to guest-star in the season finale of ABC's "The Middle."

In the episode, she plays a school librarian who confronts Brick (Atticus Shaffer) over his failure to return overdue books, according to Warner Bros. Television, which produces the single-camera show starring Patricia Heaton and Neil Flynn.

When "SNL" announced her hosting gig this week, creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels said in a statement, "I can't think of a better way to spend Mother's Day weekend than with Betty White."

We can't either. The air date of the finale of "The Middle" has not been scheduled, but it will also be sometime in May.
