For the first time in the show’s history, the producers of ‘Bones’ were forced to shut down production on Monday because star David Boreanaz is ill with the flu, a Fox publicist said.

‘Bones’ creator Hart Hanson jumped the gun on Twitter earlier today, writing that Boreanaz is suffering from the swine flu, but he later retracted it, saying there is ‘no indication’ the actor has the H1N1 variety of the flu.

Hanson also wrote that he expects production to resume Tuesday, as was first reported on the Wrap.
