Fox debuted the director’s cut version of the ‘Glee’ pilot Wednesday. Only a few scenes were extended, but re-watching was well worth it: The episode included Matthew Morrison’s stunning acoustic rendition of the 1969 Peter, Paul and Mary classic ‘Leaving On a Jet Plane.’

The song comes at a particularly pivotal moment toward the end of the episode when Morrison’s Mr. Schuester is debating whether or not to abandon the glee club he just created for a better-paying job in accounting. (He doeshave a baby on the way.) Thankfully, the previously unaired performance won’t be his last. (Because guess what? Morrison’s a Broadway vet who can also rap. Holla!)
