ABC announces its fall schedule

ABC picked up 11 new shows for fall. The network announced its fall schedule in Manhattan today. As expected, the new fall and mid-season series are: “Cougar Town,” “The Deep End,” “Eastwick,” “Flash Forward,” “The Forgotten,” “Hank,’ “Happy Town,” “The Middle,” “Modern Family,” ‘V’ and a new reality series ordered today, ‘Shark Tank,’ which premieres in summer and also wo;; run in fall.

“Better Off Ted,” “Castle,” “Scrubs” and “True Beauty” join previously announced returning series “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” “The Bachelor,” “Brothers & Sisters,” “Dancing With the Stars,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Lost,” “Private Practice,” “Supernanny,” “Ugly Betty,” “Wife Swap” and “20/20.” “Saturday Night College Football” also will return.

‘Shark Tank,’ is a competition reality show executive produced by Mark Burnett (‘Survivor’). It gives budding entrepreneurs the chance to become successful – and possibly wealthy – business people. But the entrepreneurs must first try to persuade five tough, multimillionaire tycoons to part with their own hard-earned cash and give them the funding they need to jump-start their ideas.

“The Bachelor” will air Monday nights from 8 to 10 p.m. following the run of “Dancing With the Stars.”Scrubs” and “Better Off Ted” will air at 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., respectively, following the run of “Dancing With the Stars: The Results Show.”

Gone forever: ‘Cupid,’ ‘The Unusuals’ and Samantha Who?’ ‘According to Jim’ will end on June 2. The network is on the fence about ‘Surviving Suburbia.’
