‘Gossip Girl’ is finally gaining new fans.

After averaging a small 2.4 million viewers last season, the CW’s sexy teen soap is now hitting new heights in the ratings race.

Monday’s episode scored a best-ever 3.7 million viewers and posted record ratings among adults ages 18 to 34 (2.7/8, up 17% from Season 1) and 18-49 (1.9/5, up 12%). The episode also did especially well among women ages 18 to 34 (4.2/12, up 27%) and 18-49 (3.0/8, up 30%).

Meanwhile, the sixth season of ‘One Tree Hill’ continues to soar. Last night’s episode, in which a recurring character was fatally shot, drew the series’ best numbers since December 2006.

Both shows lifted the CW to lead the night in key female demographics as well as in adults ages 18 to 34.
