As expected, Day Two of the WGA strike started out with a thinner crowd of protesters. At CBS Television City, the knot of protesters, which numbered about 100 at any given time on the first day, had shrunk by about a third this morning.

Strike organizers urged protest-sign-waving writers to keep up their enthusiasm, particularly when it came to acknowledging passing motorists who honk in support of their cause.

“I understand if you don’t want to chant,” one strike organizer said. “But you’ve got to react to the honking. I read on a blog yesterday the [CBS executives] can hear it in there, and we know it’s bothering them.”
