The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Assn. announced today that Olympic veteran Anders Johnson and first-timers Nick Alexander and Peter Frenette will make up the U.S. ski jumping team at next month’s Winter Olympics.

Johnson, 20, finished 14th overall on the large hill at the 2006 Olympics and won the 2009 overall national championship. Alexander has qualified to compete in six FIS World Cup events this season and Frenette competes in the FIS Continental Cup.

Former East German ski jumper Jochen Danneberg, a 1976 Olympic silver medalist, will coach the team, which is still subject to approval by the U.S. Olympic Committee.
