A girl from Richmond, a boy from Canada skating for Greece

So you come to pairs figure skating at the World Figure Skating championships at Staples Center in time to see a pair from Greece skate.

Except the Greek girl’s name is Jessica Crenshaw and, yes, according to her biography, she is from Richmond, Va., and attends Columbia University. Her partner is Chad Tsagris.

A little further research brings us to Jessica’s blog. And yes, Chad does have some Greek ancestry, enough to let him qualify for the Olympics. To do that they must finish 16th overall here.
