Teen mistakenly deported to Colombia had fake name, fake life

Jakadrien Turner, the Dallas runaway who was deported to Colombia, has reportedly been handed over to U.S. authorities and is winging her way back to the United States. The deportation may have been a mistake by immigration authorities, but Jakadrien was apparently perpetrating a ruse, one in which she had concocted a fake name and, as a Facebook page shows, a fake history.
A post on Colombia Reports said the 15-year-old girl -- who was granted citizenship by Colombia -- was handed over to U.S. authorities Friday morning. And ABC News reports that she’s on a plane headed home. But mystery surrounds her story.
Her grandmother, Lorene Turner, told a Texas TV station she had been searching for the girl since she ran away from her home in the fall, eventually tracking her down on Facebook. Jakadrien had apparently created a Facebook page for ‘TiKa SoloToolonq.’ The page says she is from Barbados, studied at Texas Southern University and speaks a number of languages: ‘Colombian Spanish, Creole, Cajun French and 3 others.’
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said that after the girl was deported she was given Colombian citizenship and shelter, as well as a job at a call center. Other reports said she’d been working as a housemaid.
Comments on the SoloToolonq Facebook page include: ‘You’re so famous!! the US Goverment and Colombian Goverment is founding you!!’; ‘The gig is up! lol’ and ‘It’s so sad you couldn’t be happy in the US like you seem to be here.’
Lorene Turner spoke Monday to Dallas/Fort Worth TV station WFAA, expressing anger with the ICE: ‘They didn’t do their work,’ she said.
Jakadrien’s family is planning to sue over the matter, a lawyer for the family told ABC News. They’re exploring lawsuits against the ICE, Houston police and Colombian government because of ‘egregious injustice, and the ball has been dropped,’ attorney Ray Jackson said.
