Sunday night dance party tip: Watch LCD Soundsystem's Madison Square Garden finale in full [Video]

April 3, 2011 |  5:14 pm

It clocked in at nearly three-and-a-half hours, Saturday night's farewell concert at Madison Square Garden by the beloved New York band LCD Soundsystem, and though it may be bittersweet, the stream of the entire performance is most certainly worth a watch -- and, more important, a listen.

The above recording captures a band at its peak, and for those of you who never saw the group, the clip, provided by Pitchfork.tv, is certainly a vivid snapshot. Kudos to the engineers who worked this concert. It sounds great, so when some songwriter tries to write the follow-up to "Losing My Edge," she will be able to convincingly boast, "I was there, I was there, for LCD Soundsystem at the Garden, and at all the Terminal 5 gigs."

[Note: there is some foul language in some of these songs, so be forewarned. It doesn't come often, but c'mon, it was LCD Soundsystem's final show -- there better have been some cussing.]
