‘Tis the week for big burger reveals: Carl’s Jr. will start serving up its hefty Steakhouse burger on Wednesday, days after Wendy’s unveiled its new Dave’s Hot ‘N Juicy burger.

The fast-food chain is taking a cue from more upscale restaurants with its Steakhouse offering. The Black Angus beef patty will be smothered with A.1. steak sauce, Swiss cheese and crumbled blue cheese, crispy onion strings and the standard lettuce, tomatoes and mayonnaise.

And continuing the company’s calling card of quirky advertisements, Steakhouse commercials created by Los Angeles agency David & Goliath will feature the “god of hamburgers.” Dubbed Hamblor, the deity is, in true Carl’s Jr. fashion, surrounded by skimpily dressed women.

The burger’s launch will also feature tie-ins on A.1. bottles in grocery stores as well as with the upcoming film ‘The Immortals,’ an action adventure based in ancient Greece.

The burger will also be available in the eastern U.S. at Hardee’s restaurants, which are also owned by CKE.
