One of the largest industrial buildings in the Orange County Airport area has been purchased out of receivership by Alliance Commercial Partners for $23.1 million.

The building at 2001 East Dyer Road in Santa Ana has a history of serving as a corporate headquarters, having previously been occupied by GT Bicycles and 3 PL Global. It is now mostly empty.

Alliance paid about half of the previous sale price for the building said Bob O’Neill, director of acquisitions for the Lakewood, Co.-based real estate investment company.

The previous owners were Commonfund and Greenlaw Partners, said receiver Taylor Grant of California Real Estate Receivership, who supervised the sale. The 366,000-square-foot building sits on 18 acres, Grant said.

Alliance owns more than 20 properties in Southern California, including Pacific Center and the Fine Arts Building, historic office buildings in downtown Los Angeles.
