LegalZoom, one of the country’s biggest online providers of legal documents and filing services, has agreed to move its headquarters from Hollywood to downtown Glendale next month.

The Internet company founded by attorneys including Robert Shapiro has signed a 10-year lease for 48,640 square feet at Glendale City Center, real estate brokerage Jones Lang La Salle said.

Financial terms of the lease were not disclosed, but the average rent in the building owned by Legacy Partners is $2.75 per square foot per month, according to real estate data provider CoStar Group Inc. Other tenants in Glendale City Center, at 101 N. Brand Blvd., include accounting firm Hutchinson and Bloodgood and retailers B.J.’s Restaurants Inc. and Olive Garden.

‘We considered several options but chose Glendale because it’s centrally located and there is growing vibrancy downtown,’ said Fred Krupica, chief financial officer of LegalZoom.

Glendale’s office market is weak for landlords, with overall vacancy at more than 23%. The average asking rent is $2.78 per square foot.
