Sears is giving consumers an early helping of retail madness, delivering its popular “Black Friday Now” promotion weeks before the Thanksgiving holiday.

Hoping to surpass the success of last year’s string of one-day holiday sales, the retail chain is also offering extended layaway options on in-store and online purchases during the sale, which runs every Friday and Saturday starting this week through Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. to noon. Othertwo-day sales will crop up until Christmas.

Examples of savings include 20% off on all Craftsman power tools, lawn and garden items and outdoor storage with no interest for 12 months. Additional savings will be available on items like Covington women’s low boots ($19.99 from $39.99), a Die Hard wheeled battery charger ($69.99 from $119.99) and a Frigidaire steam washer ($826.99 from $866.99).

The store’s extended layaway program allows shoppers 12 weeks to pay for purchases.

After Black Friday (that’s the day after Thanksgiving shop-fest, for those of you who are retail-challenged), the chain says it will continue to push several more sales events with “Now” in the title: “Real Deals Now” (Dec. 1-2 and Dec. 8-9), “Wow Now” (Dec. 3-4 and Dec. 10-11) and “Christmas Now (Dec. 17-18 and Dec. 22-24).
