Developer Terra-Gen Power officially broke ground Tuesday on the Alta Wind Energy Center in the Mojave Desert foothills. The project is being touted as the country’s largest wind effort, potentially churning out 3 gigawatts of clean power within a decade, alternative energy reporter Tiffany Hsu says in a report here and in the video below.
