Southern California home sales up, median price rises again

The median sales price for homes sold in July in Southern California was $268,000, up a bit for the third month in a row, but still 23% below the same month a year ago, according to DataQuick. Those figures are for the six-county area comprising Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura and San Diego counties.
